Who is Lisa Koski? Dr. Lisa Koski is a clinical psychologist with specialty training and accreditation in neuropsychological assessment. Neuropsychology is a branch of psychology that is concerned with understanding how the different parts of the brain give rise to our various mental abilities and behaviours. Dr. Koski is an Associate Professor at McGill University, where she directed a research laboratory studying assessment and treatment of cognitive disorders before serving as a staff neuropsychologist and the director of clinical training in Psychology at the McGill University Health Centre. With over 20 years of experience in the clinical and research worlds, Dr. Koski has developed expertise in the areas of dementia, cognition in mental disorders, and autism spectrum disorder in adults.

What does a neuropsychological assessment include?

  • Assessing how you are functioning in your personal environment: Home, school, work and social

  • Understanding how your brains' abilities, mental health and your personality structure combine to influence everyday functioning

  • Concluding as to the presence or absence of a neuropsychological disorder

  • Recommending ways to achieve your best level of functioning

 

Depending on your specific questions and needs, complete neuropsychological assessments may involve 1-6 visits, Assessments require from 10-18 hours of Dr. Koski's time, billed at $200/hour, and including 6+ hours of direct contact with the client.
